At rempodrevival.com our mission is to provide top-quality innovative paranormal investigation electronic equipment .
Choose from the basic rempod the BR675.
The midrange rempod with dual battery offerings the BAT675, or our feature filled deluxe rempod instrument the DR628.
A great rempod for the weekend ghost hunter and its easy on the wallet.
With its direct coupled antenna, custom PCB, and dual colour attraction fog led, it can be used as a table-top device or placed in any clamp-type cell phone tripod holder.
The top switch is for power, below that is the jumbo fog attraction led colour selection switch. Toggle between red or green attraction colours to see if one works better or not. Table-top base is included.
With two separated BR675's using both colours one can solicit concrete yes or no responses.
Separate front and back panels and connect a fresh alkaline 9-volt battery into the battery snap. Then place the battery in it's storage compartment as shown.
Close the front and rear panels, tucking in the led cable in the PCB area.
Use the four supplied Phillips screws to secure the two panels together.
This rem pod is designed with dual front panel mounted battery holders to offer up for entities to drain.
The number one observation across all ghost hunting teams (GHT) is batteries from various devices are
drained by entities. With this in mind the BAT675 was created and designed with a steam punk inspired look.
Ensure the third switch down (external buzzer switch) is in the low position (down). If no 12-volt 23A batteries are used, enable internal buzzer by turning on the LHS lower switch. To disable 30 second start up time delay place middle lower switch to the off position.
Refer to Operation Manual for more information.
There has been no real innovation in the rempod device just a myriad of platforms that add no new functional value. The DR628 is a well thought out rempod that brings an improved and layered design for a long overdue rempod revival. It ushers in the DR628 rempod as a true instrument from an era of a kids musical novelty toy hurriedly fit to function as a paranormal activity detector. From the custom aluminum housing, to its firmware and its PCB, the DR628 has been engineered from its inception for just paranormal research.
Four RetroReflective Sensors (RRS) are used to create an infrared curtain around the rem antenna. This will test if entities that trigger the rem antenna can reflect infrared light. Their functionality is similar to the reflective cat toy balls used by GHT. They are arranged in a Left, Right, Front and Rear configuration that produces data displayed as directional information on the front panel.
The majority of my career was spent at two fortune 500 companies where I was awarded a Vice-president's Innovation Award based on electronics. This combined with a lifetime immersed in electronics has helped create the DR628 platform.
The buzzer switch has three positions HI-OFF-LOW and controls the dual rear mounted buzzers.
NOTE: BAT is the main battery and BBU is the Battery Back Up.
Unit runs on one power battery bank at time and the BAT switch selects between BAT and BBU. Move switch bat sideways to the LHS to point to the BAT label for BAT selection, and move switch bat to the RHS for BBU (no label) selection.
The BBU is just monitored by the blue led voltage monitor when BAT is selected and vise versa. If BAT gets drained, switch BAT to the RHS to remove BAT and engage the BBU battery bank.
See DUAL IN OUT FUNCTION (Operation Manual) to mount the batteries in the side or Outboard position. The two battery banks can be stored and used in the rear case if the external offering is not desired.
The DR628 is designed for long term operation and can be ran on any 6-volt lead acid battery. There two external DC jacks located in each lower corner of the rear panel that can be used for other types of 6-volt batteries or the two supplied battery packs.
Refer to the DR628 operator's manual for information on the camera control cluster.
The number one observation across all ghost hunter teams (GHT) is batteries from various devices are drained by entities.
Keeping with the layered duality theme, the two battery banks BAT and BBU can be used in their rear compartment or attached to each side of the DR628 using the custom designed side docking bays.
A single zip tie is used to secure the battery pack into the side docking bays.
This configuration combined with the jumbo attraction side leds and the dual voltage monitors creates a battery offering waiting to be drained and documented.
The two side attraction jumbo leds can be used to direct an entity to drain the associated battery bank.
The hope here is to record the battery monitor decreasing, thus providing real evidence an entity is draining it after being requested to do so.
Attach the battery pack so it’s two connection pins are facing downwards.
Check pin orientation with the battery snap attached so it's cable extends outward from the side panel. Install the supplied zip tie into the slot in the middle of the side housing. When tightening zip tie around each battery bank keep the head of the zip tie on the rear of the side panel for the tightest bond. Remove waste length of the zip tie with a pair of side cutters.
To connect the batteries to the DR628 in the OUTBOARD mode a pair of cables is supplied for this purpose.
NEVER CONNECT 9-VOLT BATTERIES DAMAGE WILL OCCURR
Attach the battery snap to each battery bank and insert the male end into the remote rear battery DC chassis jack labeled BAT or BBU. Hand tightens the outer screw ring until snug.
